All JESC contestants have to perform their songs in an official language of the country they represent. While some songs have had small amounts of English, mostly the odd word or line but occasionally more, this rule has generally been followed by all songs except for 3. Two of those 3 songs were in imaginary languages and the third used many languages.
The two Georgian songs (Bzz... and Mari Dari) are classed as being in the language "Imaginary" and the Serbian song (Učimo Strane Jezike) is in the language "Multiple" for the purposes of this page. Songs that contain some English, or other language, are classed as being in the main language of the song (e.g. Evropa is classed as being "Ukrainian"). The only songs that are classed as being in "English" are those of the United Kingdom and Malta (including Knock Knock!...Boom! Boom!).
This is a list of all languages that have been used in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in order of the number of votes received.
Since the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest all contestants have received 12 points before voting began. Therefore, Points is the score reported on the show, and Votes is the actual number of points given by other countries (not including the "12 points for all").
